One of the questions we hear most often at Ibuki Healing Arts is: “How can Reiki work if we’re not in the same place?” It’s a fair question — and one that touches on something fundamental about how Reiki energy operates.
Reiki Is Not Limited by Distance
In Jikiden Reiki tradition, distant healing is called Enkaku treatment. It is taught as part of the Okuden (advanced) level, and it works through the same principles as in-person treatment. Reiki energy is not bound by physical proximity — it flows where it is directed and needed most.
The results clients report from distant sessions are consistent with in-person treatment: deep relaxation, relief from physical symptoms, emotional ease, improved sleep.
How a Distant Session Works
At the start of your appointment, you and Haruyo will connect briefly by Zoom or phone to discuss your health intentions. After that, you simply lie down somewhere comfortable at home and allow yourself to receive. Haruyo conducts the full treatment from her space in Sebastopol.
Sessions are 60 minutes and priced at $90 for both initial and returning clients. No special preparation is needed — just a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed.
