Welcome to Ibuki Healing Arts. These Terms of Service explain the conditions for using this website and booking or receiving services offered by Ibuki Healing Arts.
By using this website or booking a service, you agree to the applicable terms below. Services that require a separate informed consent form are also subject to that form.
1. Services Offered
Ibuki Healing Arts offers complementary wellness and personal-development services, including:
- Energy healing/Reiki/Jikiden Reiki®: Japanese energy-healing practices intended to support the body’s natural healing ability and promote well-being.
- Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT®): A guided hypnosis experience for personal exploration and self-awareness.
- Jikiden Reiki® Seminars: Educational and experiential activities related to Reiki, energy healing, and personal development.
The nature, duration, fees, and booking conditions for each service will be provided in the applicable service description or booking information.
2. Nature and Limitations of Services
Energy healing, Reiki, and Jikiden Reiki® are complementary or alternative practices. These services, classes, activities, and treatments are not licensed or regulated by the State of California as medical services.
Haruyo Nishimura is a Jikiden Reiki® Shihan (Teacher) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California (LCSW #98265). Her LCSW license does not mean that Reiki, Jikiden Reiki®, or energy-healing services are licensed medical treatments.
Reiki is described as an energy-healing practice in which the practitioner serves as a channel for healing energy. Individual experiences vary. During a session, clients may experience warmth, coolness, vibration, tingling, light pressure, or no noticeable sensation. Some clients may experience temporary discomfort.
QHHT is a guided hypnosis experience. Experiences during hypnosis vary, and subjective impressions, imagery, or memories should not automatically be treated as historically verified facts.
No specific result or outcome is guaranteed for energy healing, Jikiden Reiki® seminars, and QHHT services.
3. Medical Care and Client Responsibility
Jikiden Reiki® and energy healing are not substitutes for medical treatment, prescribed medication, or care provided by a licensed physician.
Haruyo Nishimura does not diagnose physical illness or disease, prescribe medication, or provide medical services through energy healing or Jikiden Reiki® sessions. Suggestions offered during a session should not be interpreted as a medical diagnosis or as a recommendation to act against the advice of a licensed physician.
Clients are responsible for maintaining an appropriate relationship with a medical doctor for themselves or their children and for seeking qualified professional care when needed.
QHHT and other personal-development services are not substitutes for medical or mental health care unless a separate professional service agreement expressly provides otherwise.
4. Consent, Comfort, and Personal Boundaries
Participation in all services is voluntary.
For energy healing/ Jikiden Reiki® sessions, clients generally remain fully clothed and may be asked to lie down or change positions as needed. The practitioner may place her hands on the client’s body only in a manner acceptable to the client.
Clients may refuse any physical contact, communicate discomfort, request a change in approach, ask questions, or stop a session at any time.
Clients agree to inform the practitioner promptly if they experience discomfort during a session.
Where a separate informed consent form is required, it must be reviewed and acknowledged as applicable before services begin. These website terms do not replace that form.
5. Appointments and Scheduling
Appointments may be booked through the scheduling service linked on this website or through another booking method offered by Ibuki Healing Arts.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate contact information and selecting the correct service, date, and time.
An appointment is confirmed according to the confirmation provided by the booking system or directly by Ibuki Healing Arts.
Please arrive on time. Late arrival may shorten the session when necessary to avoid delaying subsequent appointments.
Ibuki Healing Arts may reschedule or cancel an appointment when reasonably necessary, including because of illness, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances. If a prepaid appointment is canceled by Ibuki Healing Arts and cannot be rescheduled by mutual agreement, an appropriate refund will be provided for the canceled service, subject to applicable law.
6. Session Length and Fees
For in-person Reiki or Jikiden Reiki® treatment, the standard fees and session lengths are:
Initial session: 90 minutes — $135.
Subsequent sessions: 65 minutes — $105, unless otherwise discussed.
QHHT sessions typically last 5–6 hours and may take longer depending on the individual session. The fee is $450 per session.
Jikiden Reiki® Seminars: $350 for Shoden (one day); $400 for Okuden (two days).
Fees, session lengths, and payment requirements for seminars and other offerings will be disclosed in the applicable service description or booking information before booking.
Payment for all services due on the day the service is provided.
Clients are responsible for the agreed fees for services received, subject to the applicable cancellation terms and any rights provided by law.
7. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
For energy healing/Jikiden Reiki® appointments, a $30 cancellation fee may apply when an appointment is canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice.
For QHHT sessions, a $100 cancellation fee may apply when an appointment is canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice.
If an emergency or exceptional circumstance prevents attendance, please contact Ibuki Healing Arts as soon as possible. Exceptions may be considered individually.
All cancellation charges are subject to applicable law.
8. Risks, Benefits, and Individual Experiences
Energy healing and Jikiden Reiki® are individualized experiences. Progress and outcomes may vary depending on the person, the concerns being addressed, and other factors. Positive or intended results are not guaranteed, and results may not occur quickly.
If a service involves psychotherapeutic work under a separate professional arrangement, discussing unpleasant events, feelings, or experiences may cause emotional discomfort. Symptoms may intensify, or the emotional experience may become difficult to manage. Clients are encouraged to communicate concerns or adverse experiences so they can be discussed appropriately.
Clients remain responsible for their own decisions about how to interpret and apply experiences or insights gained during sessions.
9. Confidentiality and Privacy
Please refer to the Ibuki Healing Arts Privacy Policy for information about how personal information is collected, used, and protected.
The nature and limits of confidentiality may vary depending on the service provided and applicable law. Where a separate informed consent form or professional agreement applies, its confidentiality provisions also apply.
10. Payment Processing and Third-Party Services
Payment methods and any applicable processing charges will be disclosed before payment. All charges will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
This website may use third-party services for appointment scheduling, payment processing, or other functions. Those providers operate independently and may have their own terms and privacy policies.
Ibuki Healing Arts does not control every aspect of third-party services. Clients should review the applicable terms and privacy policies before using them.
11. Seminars and Educational Materials
Seminars are intended for education, personal exploration, or wellness purposes, as described in the relevant offering.
Participation does not automatically establish a medical, psychotherapeutic, or other professional treatment relationship.
Unless otherwise permitted by law or authorized in writing, clients may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially use proprietary educational materials belonging to the Jikiden Reiki Institute.
12. Website Content and Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, the text, photographs, graphics, logos, and original materials on this website belong to Ibuki Healing Arts or are used with permission.

14. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ibuki Healing Arts does not guarantee any particular outcome from Energy healing/Jikiden Reiki® sessions, Jikiden Reiki® seminars, and QHHT services.
Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, or removes any rights or remedies that clients cannot legally waive.
These terms do not replace required informed consent, legally required disclosures, or other professional obligations.
15. Changes to These Terms
Ibuki Healing Arts may update these Terms of Service as services, booking procedures, or legal requirements change.
The current version will be posted on this website with its effective date. Changes will apply prospectively, subject to applicable law and any separate agreement governing an existing booking.
16. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Nothing in these terms limits a client’s right to pursue any remedy available under applicable law.
