Shoden 初傳
This seminar is presented over two afternoon sessions and includes a balanced blend of lecture and hands-on practice. It serves as the introduction to Jikiden Reiki—the only Reiki tradition preserved in its original, unaltered Japanese form.
You will learn the authentic history and unique lineage of Jikiden Reiki, passed directly from Dr. Chujiro Hayashi to Chiyoko Yamaguchi, and explore the Gokai, or five guiding principles, that form the philosophical foundation of Reiki practice.
Participants will be taught essential Reiki techniques for treating physical ailments, including the use of a traditional symbol introduced at this level. You’ll also develop the ability to sense byosen—the energetic signals of imbalance—and apply methods to enhance and direct the flow of Reiki more effectively.
By the end of this seminar, you will be equipped to begin offering Reiki treatments for yourself and others, using the pure, time-honored approach preserved for 100 years.
Okuden 奥傳
In this one-day Okuden seminar, you will be introduced to deeper applications of Jikiden Reiki, expanding your ability to support others on emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.
You will learn the Seiheki treatment, a powerful method for addressing psychological or emotional issues such as anxiety, negative habits, fears, or emotional trauma. This treatment uses a traditional symbol to help release unwanted patterns and reinforce positive intentions, working with the subconscious mind in a gentle yet profound way.
In addition, you will be taught Enkaku treatment, also known as distant Reiki treatment. This technique allows you to send Reiki to someone who is not physically present—whether they are in another city or country. You’ll learn the traditional method of conducting distant healing as it was passed down in the original Japanese lineage, without Western modifications.
